Even though the new year just started, senior year is half over for most twelfth graders in Florida. Prom will be just around the corner and then they’ll be trying on their caps and gowns after that. As fast as the next few months will fly by, there’s still time to have senior portraits taken.

Jenny’s showing us all how awesome your senior portraits should be. We had a great time with the soon-to-be Umatilla High graduate, running around Lake county to capture these beautiful shots. She’s a singer, an artist, and learning how to play guitar… her positive attitude and vibrant smile shows in her photos. She’s also got such great style, it matches her personality—fun and colorful! We’re so glad to have spent the afternoon getting to capture this time for Jenny, her family and her friends.

Even though fall is coming closer, we’re in Ocala, so let’s get real—it’s still as green as spring in most places. We had fun photographing Morgan during this nice September evening in the still vibrant fields just south of Gainesville. The North Marion high school senior shined in front of the camera and I think you can see her personality clearly in the set. The football cheerleader’s make-up and hair styling was by the awesome Anna from Utopia Beauty. We’re looking forward to more awesome senior sessions this fall!

We are really proud of our summer look book and we hope that you all love it as much as we do.  We wanted to give you a little insight into how your summer session with your best friend could look like. There was a lot of time spent planning this shoot and we were lucky enough to be able to work with these two amazing girls in one of the most beautiful places in Florida.

Summer is the perfect time to head to the beach with your best friend, soak up some rays, read a book, listen to your summer jams… we wanted to bring that feeling to you seniors, inspire you to get out and enjoy the beautiful beaches and parks in Florida. This is going to be an extra special feature with Amanda and Taylor, so be on the look out for this best friends shoot.

Our summer senior sessions for the Class of 2013 are filling up quick. We suggest reserving your session at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance. Nothing against the beach, but it’ll be the most fun you’ll have this summer.

Last week, we beat the heat one afternoon with Central Florida teen Sabrina. We expected another hot afternoon like we’ve been having the past month or so, but some clouds came out for us to block some of that summer sun. We always come prepared, though, with an ice chest full of cold bottled water for everyone.

Sabrina has a fun sense of style—and a resemblance to some famous actresses. When we began editing this session, we both looked at the photos and thought to ourselves – Jessica Biel. What do you think, though?

When Lucy and I were living out in Jackson Hole, Memorial Day weekend was considered the official start of the summer season (there’s only three there: summer, winter and mud season). According to this past weekend, it holds true for Florida, as well. The heat and haze of the afternoon didn’t stop us from having an awesome session with soon-to-be high school graduate Summer (no puns will be made in this post).

We’ve noticed lately that several of the seniors we’ve photographed are big animal lovers and this was no exception with Summer. The avid horse rider is studying to become a veterinarian. We even had her dog, Lucky, to join in her shoot (he toughed out the hot afternoon with us).

Sometimes when I sit down to write our posts for our blog, it’s easy to get stuck because you hate to feel like you’re repeating the same thoughts over and over. However, every portrait shoot we do, we’re terribly excited about and truly enjoy what we’re doing. So in that case, I don’t mind repeating myself. Orlando-area teen, Emily, was no exception.

We met up with Emily at a nearby lake for our afternoon shoot and spent the afternoon shooting, laughing, and enjoying the nice end-of-spring weather. We convinced her (without much arm-twisting) to show off her new frames in a few shots which turned out absolutely beautiful! I don’t know if every evening is like this on the lake, but we had an incredibly colorful sunset once again. Emily is a natural in front of the camera and has a great sense of style, as apparent by her choice of outfits.
