sunset photo shot with surf board

Last weekend, we had planned to head to Jacksonville Beach to watch the Sisters of the Sea 14th annual surf competition. While over that way, we scheduled some portrait shoots and how lucky were we to meet up with Mallory Turner, a semi-pro surfer who was also competing that weekend. The multi-talented and charismatic young woman is also the associate art director for Void Magazine, a north Florida surf/skate/lifestyle magazine. How cool is that?

We met  up at Hanna Park and spent the the cooler-than-normal afternoon shooting on the beautiful boardwalks and sandy dunes. It’s amazing how fast it goes by! We can’t wait to head back to the area and shoot again. It doesn’t hurt having such great people to photograph, either.
